Contract: Permanent Salary: £29,411pa Shifts: Full time The Role: Developing and Maintaining a safe and productive Warehouse Operation. Managing and undertaking Warehouse Operations and Decanting to enable a smooth flow of materials to meet production requirements, including receiving components, despatch of finished goods and supply of materials to assembly and packaging lines, ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded. Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in the operation. Key Responsibilities: Through effective leadership, training/development and engagement of direct reports, and working collaboratively with other company departments: Lead the warehouse operation, ensuring staff are fully aware of, organised and competent to achieve required targets. Assure the health and safety of staff, contractors and visitors to the area, through ensuring that workplace risks are identified and that safe systems of work and storage are in place; - Will be a Fire Marshall for the Factory - Will be a First Aider for the Factory Ensure all Quality System and stock recording and traceability requirements are met, with clearly defined procedures in place. Ensure that the warehouse is well organised, with high standards of housekeeping, to enable achievement of targets and promote a positive image of the warehouse operation. Ensure that warehouse equipment is regularly checked and effectively maintained ( racking and forklift trucks ) Ensure that staff respect Waste Management procedures and identify and implement actions to minimise waste. Identify and implement opportunities to improve the operation, enabling staff to contribute to continuous improvement. Ensure our staff are treated and treat others fairly, with dignity and respect. Actively manage our staff attendance, with a fair and rigorous approach to dealing with attendance issues. Undertake disciplinary, grievance and absence reviews where required. Provide and maintain appropriate key performance indicators to monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of warehouse operations. Ensure we cycle count the warehouse inventory on a monthly basis > 98% accuracy and maintain and update our inventory locations on SAP. Undertake warehouse operations (receiving, despatch, etc..) to ensure required targets are met.
