The Recruitment Co are looking for a Logistics & Warehouse Manager to join our Manufacturing client in Rural Barnstaple. Job Title: Logistics & Warehouse Manager Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 AM - 5:30 PM (Will be expected to stay later should the need arise.) Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 based on experience Location: Rural Barnstaple (Must have own transport) We are on the hunt for a driven, self-motivated, responsible individual with high organisational and problem-solving skills capable of working under time constraints and deadline pressures, to primarily handle all of our clients logistics and several other operational requirements in a timely manner. Logistics Manager Responsibilities: Communicating with suppliers (most of which are based in the Far East) to organise goods ready dates and consolidate shipments together from multiple addresses to ship goods in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Will be required to liaise with shipping agents in the UK and be familiar with all the costs and organisational skills required to get goods shipped for the least amount and quickest delivery time to our premises in Devon. Produce shipment costs breakdowns for products being shipped. Fill in necessary documents and/or forms which also include import/export documentation to successfully receiving products in good condition. Be willing to load & unload LCL & FCL shipments when they arrive at our premises and help locate them in our warehouse. Will be required to generate reports as necessary which include reports to be submitted to governmental agencies on time and using EXCEL extensively. Entering transactions and information onto the SAP system which include invoices, Bills, raise Purchase Orders, prepare declarations and negotiate terms with supplier. Managing & participating in the annual stock take. Communicating by email & telephone with staff in our Head Office in Peterborough. Logistics Manager Candidate: Strong negotiation skills to obtain the best cost and service from our suppliers. Excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to people from around the world on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with a growth mindset who wants to make the role their own! Forklift licence advantageous. First Aid qualifications are advantageous. Experience in SAP & Crystal reporting would be a distinct advantage. Own transport is essential due to the rural location of our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate must be able to work well in a small team & have a 'can do' attitude.
