Your day will consist of maintaining a smooth flow of product through the warehouse by putting away and retrieving palletised stock from the racking, order picking, loading, and unloading vehicles to ensure a consistent and efficient operation across all shifts. You will need to manage material resources to ensure stock is moved to the relevant warehouses in a timely manner. You will provide a competent service to the manufacturing functions and provide effective management of stock levels, whilst continuously maintaining and improving operational targets and efficiencies. You will build and sustain strong relationships with your team, Line Leader, and Manager. Your role is vital in supporting the manufacturing operation in the delivery and collection of work-in-progress, packaging materials, empty pallets, and blue tubs in a safe and efficient manner. What are the key ingredients needed for the role? Analytical Skills Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Ability to prioritise tasks. To have completed NVO 1, NVQ2. Basic Food Safety, Help Stop Accidents, Behavioural Safety (Training can be provided) To be able to drive Counter balance and reach FLT, Electric Stand On Pallet T20 AP and a Combi lifter (Training can be provided) Self-Motivated. The Role We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Landscape Operative to maintain the Kent Estate and Vineyard. Duties include: - All vineyard management (viticulture operations): tractor driving, spraying, mowing, hedging, leaf trimming, leaf stripping, under-vine cultivation, soil sampling. - Manual labour as required: wire lifting, replacing end post anchors, fixing wires. - Overseeing labour agencies. - Strimming, spraying and maintenance of farm headlands, perimeter, pest control and Oast courtyard. - Fencing maintenance and repair. - Mowing, strimming, grounds maintenance, and general tidy of empty property external areas, commercial sites and communal grounds, car parks and signage. - Assist the Wood Reeve in all matters relating to practical woodland management. - Machinery checks and maintenance. - Assisting with estate security. - Providing out of hours security at Brewers Hall site, acting as a watchful presence outside of regular hours, reporting any emerging issues promptly. You will need: - Previous grounds maintenance and preferably woodland management experience. - To be conscientious, have attention to detail and be hardworking - Ability to work alone and as part of a team. - Good communication skills, professional attitude, polite and good levels of personal presentation. - Full UK driving licence and own transport.
