Design Development Engineer Annual Salary: Circa £45,000 (Depending on Experience) Location: Royston Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our Product Management Team, focusing on managing, improving, and engineering changes for our assistive medical devices. This role is perfect for a creative, hands-on professional with a passion for engineering and design in the medical equipment sector. Day-to-day of the role: Update and maintain medical device build specifications, designs, and documentation, ensuring compliance with International Standards. Document product faults and inefficiencies, research, test, and implement solutions with global suppliers. Perform hands-on testing and product development activities, including prototyping and fabrication in our R&D facility. Value engineer existing products to incorporate newer, safer, and more economic technologies and materials. Work closely with Sales and Purchasing to resolve technical product questions and specify custom parts. Required Skills & Qualifications: SolidWorks (or similar) CAD experience, training, or qualification. Hands-on small tools and bench experience, including general metal and woodwork. Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written, for report writing and understanding medical regulatory standards.
