We are currently working with a Local Authority who are looking for a Service Review Consultant to lead and manage an independent, strategic, structural, and operational review of the Housing Benefit, Council Tax, NDR, Corporate Debt and Discretionary welfare schemes and functions, identifying areas of duplication and risk Service Review Consultant Location: South West Hybrid Rate: Negotiable Day Rate Duties: Identify changes to future ways of working, based on best practice, to improve performance in service areas, adopting a customer led approach whilst improving current performance targets Make recommendations to the Council as to how best to build operational sustainability, capacity, and resilience in accordance with Whole Council Re-Design criteria and principles Provide operational leadership across services through the transitional integration phase, ensuring service delivery is effective and does not compromise performance Review and develop a staffing structure that meets the need of the authority, based on current and future demand Required skills and experience: Extensive knowledge of Finance, Benefits, Council Tax and Business Rates Legislation and administration within a local government setting Working knowledge of methodologies/techniques to support customer demand and needs Proven experience of successfully leading large strategic projects across a wide range of services Extensive experience in preparing and presenting performance information for management purposes If you're interested, please send through an up-to-date CV then I can drop you a call to discuss further.
