We specialise in the testing of raw materials and finished products in the Veterinary and Farm Animal Supplementation and Veterinary Pharmaceutical Industries. The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the enforcement of laboratory procedures to ensure high quality output of the laboratory. They will be instrumental in ensuring the lab remains reliable and trustworthy. They will be expected to portray a professional image at all times, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained. Laboratory Manager - Main duties: Management, assessment, training, and development of all laboratory staff, including creation and maintenance of training plans to GMP standard. Creation, maintenance and implementation of a full set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for the laboratory, ensuring they are adhered to and kept current to GMP. Liaising with regulatory bodies and organisations to ensure the quality of test methods is maintained. Be instrumental in ensuring accreditation for the laboratory on-going GMP. Conduct internal audits, both system audits, and method witnessing audits. Assist in external audits where required. Testing of samples along with analysts (HPLC, Autotitration, FTIR, UV-Vis, melting point, Viscosity, pH, manual titration, GC, AAS). Review and approval of data prior to release to customers. Evaluation of research and development proposals from customers Manage method development and validation projects where required. Daily co-ordination of laboratory activities and personnel. Give company presentations and tours of the facility to new, potential and existing customers. Customer contact regarding samples and testing. Laboratory Manager - Personal attributes: The post-holder will ideally have: Bachelor of Science degree - minimum 2.1 (Pharmacy/Chemistry or related discipline). At least four years previous relevant experience within a similar role. Complete understanding of GMP within a laboratory environment. Internal and external auditing skills. Excellent interpersonal, time management and IT Skills. Laboratory Manager - Will also have the following: Proven experience in using HPLC and AAS as well as all standard chemical testing techniques such as titrations, pH, Karl Fisher, Polarimetry, UV-Vis and TLC. Excellent communication both written and verbal. Highly developed interpersonal and team skills. Experience of dealing with customers. The ability to work under their own initiative to meet deadlines. Laboratory Manager - will be able to: Adapt to change and new circumstances. Work under pressure handling multiple and complex tasks. Understand the needs and priorities of the business. Always be willing, able and prepared to take a "hands on approach". Act with honesty and integrity at all times. Occasionally travel to other sites/suppliers may be required.

Management Accountant - Main duties Preparation of month-end journals Conduct full analysis of all P&L accounts Preparation of group companies' Monthly Reporting Packs (MRP) including commentaries on key variances to budget in line with the month-end timetable Reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis Daily sales and bank reconciliations Maintaining the fixed asset register Completing VAT returns on a quarterly basis Intercompany accounts reconciliation Assisting on purchase ledger when required Monitoring of the debtor ledgers to ensure any outstanding debt is chased and escalated Assisting with the annual and biannual company stock takes Allocating of cash receipts on cashier accounts Completing 'Office for National Statistics' questionnaires Assisting with the production of weekly sales reports Sales reporting and analysis Contribute to the annual business planning process Assist the year-end auditors and all other external Finance consultants, providing answers to any queries in a timely manner Management Accountant - Experience, Skills & Knowledge Be a team player Good communication skills At least two years experience in a similar role Studying towards ACCA/CIMA (part qualified) Excellent Excel skills Good IT skills Experience of Sage Line 200 (desirable) Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent time management skills If you are interested, please apply in writing, attaching your up-to-date Curriculum Vitae
