Working out of their Pucklechurch depot in BS16, you will be driving a curtain-sided rigid 18-tonne truck, where your main duties will be delivering to building sites, trade centres and individual developments across the country.
Our client is seeking a Transport and Planning Manager to support the daily running of the business and be a part of their successful team on a long-term basis.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the successful execution of the daily/weekly transport plan within the frame work of client requirements, legal compliance and internal/external SLA's .
The role will include dispatching/briefing drivers, monitoring drivers throughout their delivery/collection routes and then debriefing drivers at the end of their shift.
There is a significant amount of daily reporting included in the function, which will include operational, HR, performance reports.
Transport is managed by either tendering via our tendering software, utilising volunteer drivers or our own in house fleet, or working with approved taxi providers for short notice bookings.
This requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and communicate with various different transport providers and requesters.
The postholder will be required to manage transport requirement for the Sedgemoor Area, for any Health related transport.
