Our client has a full-time vacancy for a Transport Co-ordinator.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and administration of all Southern Transport related activities in particular, ensuring that the customer service level agreements are met in an efficient and compliant manner as set out by the Transport Manager.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics/haulage BDM to take a role with no glass ceiling and room for future growth, the first 3 months will be spent managing and pursuing low hanging fruit via existing customers and clients where there's lots of opportunity but they have not had the UK based resource to investigate.
This is a full-time role, predominantly field based but ideally spending at least 1 day a week out of the new site, which is currently having internal refits.

The role will support the development and implementation of transport policies and strategies, most notably the Local Transport Plan and associated documents, to ensure that both current and future problems on the transport and highway networks are dealt with in the most effective manner in accordance with the Council's wider goals and objectives.
The team is responsible for providing a safe road network that operates efficiently and effectively, providing strategic direction for the future development of highway assets, public transport, active travel and all road users, being mindful of budget constraints, legislation and the sustainability agenda.
The Highways and Transport Team provide statutory services that all residents of West Northamptonshire use.
