Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons, providing support to individual students or small groups. Take responsibility for leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring continuity in the learning process. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the planning and development of curriculum resources. Adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring inclusively in the learning environment. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs). Behaviour Management: Foster a positive and respectful learning environment. Supporting Special Educational Needs (SEN): Provide targeted support for students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met. Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to implement interventions effectively. Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Attend parent-teacher meetings and other school events as required. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about educational best practices and innovations. Contribute to the development and delivery of training sessions for support staff as needed. Requirements: Qualifications: Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. Possess HLTA status or equivalent experience and qualifications. Experience: Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role. Experience working with students across different age groups and abilities. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Attributes: Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting student development.
