Role: IT Technician Location: Hampton Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Hours: 37.5 per week between Monday-Friday My client is a very well-respected independent school that are looking to add a IT Technician to their growing IT Team. The IT Technician is a key technical resource within the IT team, responsible for providing first and second-line support across the schools IT systems. This role focuses on the hands-on resolution of technical issues, troubleshooting, and maintaining service performance and delivery, in addition to technical support. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting systems and services in a technical capacity, reporting to management and will have worked for a minimum of 3 years within similar roles. Key Responsibilities Assist with first and second-line support when required, ensuring that urgent issues are addressed quickly and effectively Provide on-site and remote support to users, helping them resolve both simple and advanced technical issues related to IT systems, devices, and applications Identify and resolve recurring IT issues by implementing long-term solutions and root fixes, reducing repeat incidents Escalate complex or unresolved challenges to senior members of the department or third-party vendors, following a structured troubleshooting approach Ensure that service levels are maintained by responding to and resolving issues in line with established helpdesk procedures and priorities Maintain regular communication with users throughout the issue resolution process, providing updates and ensuring user satisfaction Conduct proactive reviews, identifying and logging potential issues before they escalate. This includes regular on-site checks of equipment across all the schools locations Conduct user training sessions when necessary to help users become more self-sufficient in resolving basic IT issues. Maintain the department's asset inventory, ensuring all IT equipment is logged, tracked, and maintained in accordance with the Trust's asset management policies This is a great opportunity to work at an exceptional school.
