The Technical Project Engineer will be the engineering lead to define and deliver new engineering projects that enhance the manufacturing capability of the Bridgwater site.
They will be responsible for the successful delivery of engineering projects through execution of a structured engineering project lifecycle.
Provide technical support for in-service systems, collating customer-ready engineering responses to technical support enquiries in a timely manner.
Job purpose: Provide technical support solutions to our end users, engineering, part-sales team, production, and other internal departments/functions as required.
As a Technical Engineer/ 2nd Line Support , you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to internal users and clients in resolving complex IT issues.
Maintain and update IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and equipment documentation.
Travel to various sites in your region, working closely with other IT teams to provide quality 2nd line IT support.
You will be responsible for all aspects of technical support for clients around the UK, This will include installations, repairs and understaking new site surveys and reviews and will require overnight stays away from home and a full UK driving license for occasional use of the company vehicle/van.
This rile is not hybrid - when based in Lewes you will be working alongside the Sales, R&D and production staff to ensure total client satisfaction.
Our client is a world class manufacturing business with a large, modern manufacturing site in Lewes, this role will require the succesful candidate to work off-site in client premises throughout the UK, and when not on site with clients you will work from the Head Office in Lewes.
Within the Project Team, ensure achievement of objectives in terms of scheduling of meetings, optimization of costs and management of the resources involved, making it possible to implement the best technical solutions (in terms of homogeneity, standardization, and compliance with requirements).
Utilizes planning, resource, and task management skills to direct control engineering staff / in successful implementation of project assignments.
Applies industry knowledge and experience to manage projects from quoting phase to handover for commissioning.
