Technical Project Manager Main purpose of job: To work in close partnership with colleagues across the organisation to manage technical project delivery The project manager is required to deliver a variety of IT projects making improvements across the technical estate The project manager needs to be able to manage multiple project deliverables and communicate the status of IT projects in a clear and timely way. Responsible to: Project Delivery Manager Budgetary responsibilities: No direct department budget responsibilities. The project manager will be responsible for the management and control of the project budget on behalf of the project sponsor. Responsible for: This role has no direct reports or line management responsibilities. The project manager will have responsibility for managing the day-to-day activities of resources across IT and 3rd parties for project delivery Key Job Responsibilities: The project manager is required to deliver project that are signed off at the business case review board. The Project Manager is responsible for: Project Delivery Producing a Project Initiation/Feasibility Document to confirm project scope Producing and maintaining a project plan and required documentation throughout the lifecycle stages Facilitating risk workshops and managing risk through the project lifecycle Managing project financial tracking and purchasing Managing changes in project scope, producing documented change control impact assessments Reporting project status to the steering group Arranging and facilitating steering group meetings, chaired by the project sponsor Planning, organising and managing technical change implementations Producing transition documentation to hand over projects to the IT service team (BAU) Requesting and organising project resources and team members to deliver project tasks and activities Support to Technical Team Coaching team members in project practices and processes to ensure full and consistent understanding and appreciation. Facilitating conflict resolution and decision making. Coach the Team in self-organization and cross-functionality encouraging them to operate on a selfmanaged basis. Facilitating resolution of the general conflict of goals between development team (high technical quality) and product owner / project manage (more scope) Reminding the team of their commitment to the project goal Helping the team to identify and resolve impediments. Provide feedback to the team, helping them to continually improve. Resolve blockers that stop the team progressing
An excellent job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sitecore Technical Delivery Lead / Sitecore Technical Project Manager to join one of the most established organisations in South Wales on a permanent basis. The Sitecore Technical Delivery Lead will lead the delivery of multiple high-profile projects, ensuring that the projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality outcomes. You will produce and manage project plans, prepare progress reports, and liaise with a range of key stakeholders throughout the organisation. You will lead a range of technical projects including Sitecore projects, whilst taking responsibility for proactively managing risks and issues to ensure delivery excellence. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following: Previous experience working as a Project Manager/Technical Project Manager/Technical Delivery Lead Experience of delivering Sitecore projects Sitecore knowledge A proven track record of successfully leading and managing technical projects, delivering all change projects to time, quality and cost objectives Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience of delivering a range of enterprise application technologies including Sitecore, GIS, Salesforce etc or experience working with Azure would be an advantage Experience using PMI / PRINCE2 / Agile / Architecture-driven agile methodologies or other structured workstream delivery methodologies would be advantageous.
