Position: Technical Buyer Daily duties and responsibilities/summary of role : We are currently looking for an experienced technical buyer to join our team. Bowyer Engineering Ltd was established over 70 years ago and specialise in the manufacture of high precision, high quality components suppled direct to various sectors including Aerospace, automotive, oil and gas. The right candidate will be comfortable purchasing material, components, and sub-contract processes in line with company procedures and KPI's. You will ensure that all customer requirements are accurately flowed down to suppliers. Monitor outstanding purchase orders and expedite delivery. Obtain competitive quotes for goods and services based on identified project requirements. Manage supplier performance, monitoring and develop relationships to ensure that business requirements are met, including T&C's and NDA's. Skills and qualifications : The ideal candidate will have familiar manufacturing background and experience as a technical buyer and will also have the: Ability to read engineering drawings Understanding of raw materials specifications Knowledge of special processes Microsoft office skills Knowledge of aerospace specifications such as AS9100, RR 9000 SABRe etc. would be a distinct advantage Syspro ERP skills would be an advantage. Essential Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role. Enthusiastic approach. Be able to work without close supervision. Energetic and dynamic individual with "can do" attitude. Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. Deal with day-to-day queries for your portfolio of customers in relation to cash-flow. We have a wide service portfolio which is catered to the needs of our client base, and we are currently looking for a Sales Executive to join our sales team to be responsible for driving sales specifically through our partnership channel, we call this role a Technical Sales Executive and this is a desk-based sales role selling accountancy services. We work with a number of third parties who introduce Personal Service Companies (PSCs) to us (also known as Contractors established as a Ltd company), these introducers may be, for example, Insurance Companies, Law Firms or even direct Hirers who recommend us to their contracting workforce. The focus of this role is to contact warm leads, speaking with PSC Contractors and holding a detailed fact find call. Understanding the customer's specific needs, you will advise on the Brookson offering and will sign up new customers. Full training and support will be provided. What are the qualities that can help you thrive as a Technical Sales Consultant? This role is ideal for those looking for a sales role where leads are provided (no cold calling) and the customer needs already exists, working within a small, specialist sales team (not a call centre). It's a consultative sell, ideal for those who have a passion for our sector and would enjoy being a subject matter expert. You will be someone who enjoys creating and owning a sales strategy, identifying prospects, and generating sales. You will enjoy being an expert in your field, taking steps to always keep your knowledge up to date. As well as selling you also be educating your client base due to the fast paced, specialist nature of our sector and ongoing changes to regulations. If you are familiar with limited companies and IR35 this will also be advantageous but isn't essential as full training and support will be provided. Commission is uncapped and paid on a monthly basis, with no thresholds. We offer hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office and the remainder working remotely, or you can be fully office based if you prefer.
