Provide specialist payroll subject matter support and advice to the broader payroll department, including understanding the impact of legislation changes and the ability to complete manual payroll calculation and comprehensive, detailed payslip explanations.
Process correct and timely salary payments to designated payroll areas across our FTSE 100 client (including Channel Islands, Isle of Man and international employees), and provide a specialist payroll service to same.
Review all tax policy and regulation changes, implementing new processes to support these changes.

Reconciliation of relevant grants, including assurance of compliance with grant conditions.
Support the council's Business Change Programme, including the SEN Safety Valve Programme, providing financial advice and modelling financial scenarios as required.
Support the production of monthly budget monitoring reports, including liaison with Budget Managers and other Finance Team members, production of working papers and relevant information to support forecasts, briefing to Senior Officers.

Our client, a highly regarded brand name with a great reputation for providing a flexible and enjoyable working environment, has an interim need for a talented Tax Accountant to join its team.
The role would ideally start the first week of September and run until Dec 2025, but they will be happy to discuss pushing the start date forward a little if needs be.
They are open to either full time or a 4 day per week role, depending on the candidate's preference and will only be expected in the office for 2 days.
