MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Revenue Generation: Develop and execute comprehensive revenue generation to meet or exceed strategic financial targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and sponsorships to diversify revenue streams in line with the schools core values. Support and cover "on shift" operations where required. including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods. Liaise with Director of Sport to agree pattern and level of technical support to be provided in the Sports Centre during School hours and ensuring Sports Centre Team (Duty manager and Senior leisure assistant) work patterns/rotas accommodate this. Team Leadership and Management: Manage, lead and motivate our sport centre team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Work with Human Resources to recruit staff as appropriate. Ensure all staff are aware of their relevant duties and responsibilities and undertake them as required. Keep records of holiday, sickness, and absence Complete annual appraisals and staff reviews as required. Ensure all staff receive mandatory training and that training records are kept up to date. Ensure effective communication with staff is maintained through handovers, teams' meetings and that suggestions for improvement are encouraged. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team members skills. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards. With support of the Health and Safety Manager, develop and implement risk management protocols to safeguard customers, staff, and facilities. Ensure all technical elements of Pool plant Operations are fully operational and compliant. Review and update all sports centre PSOP's and Hire Agreements annually. THE PERSON It is essential for the successful candidate to have the following qualifications, experience, and personal attributes: Degree or equivalent in Business, Sports Management, or related field. Proven experience in a commercial management role within the sports and fitness industry. Have or recently held a National Pool Plant operators' qualification. Our client is one of the UK's largest and most progressive Leisure and Sports Centre operators. They are currently looking to recruit a Cleaning Manager to join one of their flagship centres based in St Albans. They require a highly motivated and results driven colleague to supervise their cleaning team to deliver a service which generates compliments and increases customer's visits. This role will focus on the cleaning of general facilities within the centre. The manager's role will require 32hrs cleaning as part of the team rota, this to include day, overnight and weekend shifts, along with 8hrs admin, to support training, ordering, organizing rota's and liaising with suppliers.
