As a Speech & Language Therapist, you'll conduct assessments, craft tailored therapy programs, and collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for each young client. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments, pinpointing specific difficulties and communication needs. Performing observations and tests to gauge the impact of speech and communication challenges on patients. Developing personalised therapy programs in tandem with other healthcare experts, ensuring each child's unique needs are met. Efficiently managing a caseload, prioritising cases, and facilitating successful service user outcomes. Providing ongoing support to clients and their families, empowering them with therapy goals and strategies. Maintaining meticulous records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Staying abreast of cutting-edge research and best practices in speech and language therapy, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice. Requirements: Degree in Speech & Language Therapy, approved by HCPC and RCSLT. HCPC Registration as a Speech & Language Therapist. Proven experience supporting children and/or adolescents with speech and language difficulties. Commitment to ongoing professional development and competency completion. Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with a flair for teamwork. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for transforming lives. The school and service cater to students aged 6 to 30 with a range of special needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.
