Manchester Staff is currently looking for a Housing Disrepair Specialist to join a client with over 10 years experience. The successful candidate will join a well established conveyancing solicitors practice, specialising in residential and commerical property conveyancing, litigation, personal injury, housing disrepair, flight delays and holiday sickness claims. Job Role: Our client is looking for a Housing Disrepair specialist with experience in updating and advising clients as well as dealing with housing associations, instructing experts and understanding protocols - knowing the Law ! Assess information, photos and video of disrepair from Tenants in terms of whether it is likely to equate to £1k or more of disrepair. Compile Protocol complaint Letters of Claim. Assess disclosure documents. Instruct Expert Surveyors. Draft correspondence to Clients, Landlords and Landlord's Legal Representatives. Compile Pre-Action Disclosure Applications. Analyse Expert Surveyor Reports Value claims for General Damages Assess claims and evidence for Special Damages Answer telephone calls from Client's appropriately, and give the relevant advice and update Clients in accordance with the Law Society requirements. Manage Clients' expectations. Draft Court Proceedings including Claim Forms and Particulars of Claim. Engage in negotiations Litigation experience in terms of Housing Disrepair Instruct and liaise with Counsel Attend and carry out advocacy at relatively simple hearings Skills/Experience Required: Essential 3 years experience within Housing Disrepair Experience dealing with housing associations Good understanding of protocols and the Law Client communication experience Desirable - Proclaim experience Please send your CV for immediate consideration either by clicking apply now or sending directly.
