Veritas Education are looking for day to day, short term, and long-term Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their every growing team of passionate, caring and committed teaching assistants to help support across a variety of roles and schools.
We work alongside Special Needs schools supporting children with a range of different additional needs, from Autism and Asperger's to more emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.
The schools we work alongside have classes varying in ability and age, ranging from reception (5) up to 19 years old, and are always keen to meet with new Psychology, Counselling and Family Support based graduates coming out of university and ready to look at transferring their degree skills into the education sector!
Your main responsibility as Autism Secondary Teaching Assistant in Barnet will be to work in groups and 1:1 with secondary aged children with low to high functioning autism; developing communication skills, supporting progression and independence through sensory play/ learning and various specialised curriculum and resources.
