I am currently looking for an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a close-knit Fostering Service in the Gloucestershire region as they seek to expand their team in order to be able to provide a higher level of support for their staff and foster carers; as a result of this they are searching for an individual to join their service as of May 2024.

Role details
Act in a consultative role to less experienced social workers to ensure reflective practice in all single or multi-agency assessments, including the development of outcome focussed plans.
Manage a caseload with a high level of complexity and risk including those children subject to care proceedings and child protection plans.
The Social Worker will lead and oversee professional judgements in the context of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.
To implement positive change in complex cases in children, families and carers lives by using systemic social work methods, models and tools, with the aims of helping them to be as independent as possible.
To also manage and minimise risks of abuse and neglect as well as meeting care needs while exercising a high quality of professional judgement.
