Site Engineer Location Swindon Main Responsibility Role involves supporting survey works and bridge refurbishment and replacement schemes. Role would involve following small programmes of work, preparing documentation such as WPP, TBS, permits and Inspection & Test Plans. Responsibilities would include completing and collating quality documentation on site following ITPs and liaising with subcontractors with regards execution of ITP on site. As Site Engineer you will be checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications. You will be making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the project and carry out any setting, levelling out and surveying required on site. Ensure proposed construction plans are safe, cost effective, and achievable Assist the Lead Engineer in improving productivity and introducing innovation Carry out risk assessments as part of design and construction work Carry out analysis, prepare plans/programmes, review or check Particular Specification, undertake detailed planning, site visits and progress work as directed. Work as directed by the Section Engineer Requirements The perfect candidate will hold the relevant Construction qualifications and have experience working on Civil Engineering / Rail projects. You will be proficient with setting techniques and equipment, Have a working knowledge of health and safety & HR procedures. Sub-Agent Location: Swindon We are currently looking for a Sub-Agent position who has experience of managing surveys and delivery works within possessions and in and around the railway environment As Sub Agent you will be required to: Lead the site team supervision, including subcontractors Role involves managing an extensive programme of surveys and for bridge schemes and supporting the planning and refurbishment and replacement of bridge structures. Role may also develop and involve looking after bridge schemes. Experience of managing surveys and delivery works within possessions and in and around the railway environment Monitor site activities against the target programmes and site planning Ensure adequate records are maintained e.g. Quality Assurance documentation, daily diaries and as built drawings Prepare and deliver daily site briefings Monitor all works activities to ensure the they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner Attend site meetings Give formal communications to clients and subcontractors including but not limited to Early Warnings, and instructions Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards Ensure compliance with ITP's Manage logistics of materials To be successful in this position the Sub Agent must have the following: A BSc, MSc, or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering aligned subject Experience of managing surveys and delivery works within possessions and in and around the railway environment Preferably worked in the rail sector SMSTC , CSCS Previous site experience in delivering projects to programme "VGC Personnel are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy"
