We are seeking a Senior Estimator / Senior Design Technician to join the team on a fulltime permanent basis at their HQ in Kettering Job Title: Senior Design Technician/Senior Estimator Team: Technical Department Reports to: Tendering Manager Role Overview: Create and complete Large Multi-Utility quotes promptly, prioritising based on weekly schedules while ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures for timely delivery and meeting Developers' requirements Role Responsibilities: Respond to email queries, escalating where necessary Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders Review asset plans and technical drawings Review Electricity Point of Connection plans and offer letters Review Water terms and plans Complete Water, Gas, and Electricity network studies Produce Multi-Utility cost models and proposal letters promptly Take ownership of large/multi-phase developments Review and produce re-quotes and variations per Developer requests Provide regular updates to Tendering Manager and Business Development Managers Review and check colleagues' work Work closely with Business Development Managers, attending client meetings Undertake regular electronic filing for easy access to correspondence Person Specification: Previous estimating experience Ability to estimate independently and train others Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred Experience in Project Management advantageous Skills and Abilities: Punctual and organised Detail-oriented with good time management Capable of both teamwork and independent work Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to listen actively Benefits: Strong career progression opportunities within the company 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service Access to Perkbox with free flexi points every month Christmas and Summer social events
