We are working with a leading plastics distributor based in North-West Birmingham, seeking a Shift Supervisor to support the Warehouse Manager on a full time, permanent basis. This role would suit an ambitious, hard-working individual looking for a warehouse career. The Shift Supervisor role will involve :- Supplying our customers, which range from large industrial companies to small exhibitors which an array of plastic products. Managing the process from incoming stock, and storage to supplying our customer by our own fleet of heavy goods vehicles Using CNC machines and Sawyers to produce cut-to-size products. (Training provided) Use of Forklift Trucks to load and unload product. Working with the administrative operational team to ensure a smooth process. Working with the Warehouse Manager and warehouse team to ensure our customers receive the right product and the best service. To apply for this Shift Supervisor role, you will require the following: FLT licences (Reach and Counterbalance) The ability to analyse and resolve problems on the shopfloor swiftly and skilfully, coupled with patience and perseverance. Excellent communication skills, both written and orally. Computer literacy for administration, understanding orders, programming our CNC and Sawyer machinery to produce cut-to-size products. Good administrative skills to ensure that our warehouse operation is running smoothly including delivery of product, drivers' tachographs, and licences. Good team work to support the manager, the team on the shopfloor and the operational team to ensure the best service for our customers. A positive attitude with the appetite to learn all jobs, the ability to work at a fast pace, (we handle 120 orders per day). Keeping all the systems and trackers in your department up to date, including sales performance, Sell through trackers, critical path management tools and KVI price tracking. Team up with the merchandisers, to make sure we're making the most of sales opportunities and getting products out to our customers when we say we will. Work with them to manage cost of markdown and be in regular WSSI meetings to agree any changes to budget and OTB spend accordingly. Putting together internal communications and presentations. Presenting to Board members your ranges for their sign off, completing all required sign off packs consistently Skills/Behaviours That Will Set You Apart Able to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment. Product development & sourcing experience Ability to work with a broad supplier base and develop own brand product.
