Practical, hands on, good communication skills, with a willingness to work flexibly and attention to good housekeeping. Working in a fast-paced manual environment, the role is to maintain, service and repair all machinery used in the manufacturing process on site minimise production down time. maintaining a high standard of housekeeping Conduct PPM's when required. Ideally you will have a manufacturing background, but it is not essential. Apprentice trained, electrically qualified as a minimum. Ability to read engineering diagrams/drawings, and control circuits/schematics. Experience with DC/AC Drives, electrical hoists, and 3 phase motors. Experience with safety and light circuits, inverters, PLC systems, relays, and speed control systems. Experience with working with sensors. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems is advantageous. A mechanical understanding of gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatics would be advantageous. Ability to prioritise and plan effectively, while working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Ability to follow processes, especially health and safety/manual handling. Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Salary: £35,000-£40,000 Kettering Days Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00. KAP technical are working are working with a well-established, family run company based in Northamptonshire. The company has over 50 years of experience in the manufacturing sector. The role We are looking for a hands-on maintenance engineer, with proven hands on manufacturing experience. The role will be primarily reactive maintenance with an element of pre-planned maintenance. The role will include supporting c.30 production units (extruders, printers & converters). Mechanical and electrical knowledge is essential, the role will be a 50-50 split between electrical and mechanical. The successful candidate needs to be comfortable working in fast paced environment. Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings: A critical skill requirement for this position is the ability to understand and work with technical drawings.
