We are looking for a Repairs service manager to join and oversee our in-house Repairs Services function. With several direct reports and a team of trade operatives, you will oversee pre-inspections, specify, supervise and complete a range of repair, maintenance and refurbishment works. We are looking for a technically strong, dynamic individual to work collaboratively cross-functionally to maximise the viability of the service through income-generating opportunities. Requirements Outline of Key Responsibilities... Lead, motivate and inspire a diverse team delivering repairs and maintenance services Control and monitor income and expenditure Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the correct balance between reactive and planned maintenance Be responsible for effective diagnosis, remedial action and quality control of building defects, in line with tenancy agreements and statutory requirements. Write specifications and tender work as appropriate. Utilise reports and data to monitor the performance and productivity of the team and subcontractors. Be responsible for ensuring that all colleagues work in a safe and healthy environment through the implementation of health and safety at work We are looking for someone who has... Managed a repairs function in social housing either contractor or client-side Managed large budgets, ensuring income and expenditure are in line with budget estimates Managed a variety of repair and maintenance works, Including reactive repairs Full UK clean driving licence, and access to a vehicle for work purposes Technically qualified with an HND, HNC or comparable qualification in a relatable subject.
