Key Responsibilities Configure and set up laser cutting and punching machines according to product specifications. Program and adjust machine settings, including speed, power, and tooling, to achieve precise measurements and shapes. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues to the maintenance department. Adhere to safety protocols, maintaining a safe work environment for all team members. Work closely with other team members and departments to meet production goals. Experience Proven experience as a Laser Cutting/Punching Machine Setter Operator, with expertise in setting up and operating laser cutting and punching machines. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of machine operation and tooling. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products. Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Kelly Services are looking for a Punch and Laser Operator on a temp temp to perm basis based in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire. £14 per hour. 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday This role involves setting up, programming and maintaining punch & laser cutting machinery, as well as monitoring and adjusting the machinery to ensure a high-quality product is produced. Laser Operator Duties Set up and operate Trumpf punch & laser cutting machines. Set up and operate Bystronic laser cutting machines. Monitor punch & laser machines during operation. Maintain and troubleshoot punch & laser equipment. Monitor the quality of parts produced. Keep records of production and operation of the machines. Laser Operator Requirements Able to read technical drawings & set up sheets. Able to set up and operate punch & laser cutting machines. Able to check and measure the accuracy of components. Able to work accurately and pay attention to detail. Able to work to tight deadlines. An FLT licence is desirable.
