We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Insitu Equipment Manager to join our dynamic team. Job Purpose: As our Insitu Equipment Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient maintenance, preparation, and allocation of insitu machining equipment. Your dedication to maintaining high standards and fostering continuous improvement will contribute to our company's success. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine equipment requirements and allocation Maintain a comprehensive list of activities, ensuring equipment is prepared, cleaned, maintained, and stored appropriately Manage the delivery note system to track equipment movement and maintain accurate records Ensure returned equipment is cleaned, replenished, and stored correctly Uphold an audit-ready culture by maintaining the orderly state of our facility Implement visual management systems and optimize equipment kitting for efficiency Prepare equipment for projects, ensuring availability of tools and spares Propose improvement projects to enhance facility organization and equipment preparation processes Oversee company vans and their maintenance schedule Provide line management support, including holiday management, training, and development Promote and adhere to Health and Safety, Environmental, and quality policies Drive KPIs to achieve targets and challenge norms to improve performance Support operational demands related to quality, cost, and delivery challenges Ensure timely closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and adhere to lean principles Skills and Experience Required: Essential: Time served Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or similar field Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demands Positive attitude and ability to make decisions under pressure Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in MS Office and MRP Systems Commitment to continuous improvement and zero-defect mentality Desirable: Line Management qualification - Training will be provided Experience in insitu machining work Supervisory experience Benefits: Ongoing Learning & Development to gain further qualifications that will lead to progression within the role Holiday entitlement, 25 days annual holidays and 8 days public holiday each holiday year One additional day annual holiday for every 10 years' service completed Enter the company pension scheme immediately Company pension scheme, offering 4.2% company contribution Staff uniform Location: The role is based at our machine shop in Inchinnan Business Park, Renfrew, beside Glasgow Airport Work Pattern: Normal working hours are as follows: Mon-Thurs: 0745hrs to 1610hrs - 10min paid tea break, 25 min unpaid lunch break Fri: 0745hrs to 1245hrs - 10 min paid tea break To suit short term business requirements, you may be required to work, day shift, night shift or back shift, this is a condition of the employment.
