My client, a global defence leader, are looking for a Senior Systems Engineering Manager to assist the Chief systems engineer across three defence programs, working closely with the program teams to help implement best practises as the go to for process, governance and maturity.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, from Programme Senior Stakeholders to Specialist Suppliers and Contractors, offering a great deal of exposure across the business, opening exciting developmental opportunities.
Ideally we are looking for a Senior Engineer (3-5 years hands-on experience) who has the experience or desire to lean in to design/architecture.
In this post you will remain hands-on initially but will be leaning into the design aspect of the infrastructure by aiding the CTO(s) with their high level designs (HLD).
£60,000 to £65,000 £4-5,000 oncall / overtime, plus bonus excellent benefits and growth potential (fantastic employer) / Surrey or Hampshire - albeit 1, possibly 2 days per week in the office
The overall package is worth around £80-85k.
This role is a hybrid position and can be based in either their Dorking (Surrey) or Basingstoke (Hampshire) offices with the expectation of being in the office 4 - 6 times per month.
The successful candidate will join a UK defence contractor specialising in the design, development, integration and through-life support of Communications and Electronic Systems.
