Quest Search & Selection are currently working with a specialist supplier in the fashion and footwear industry. They are looking for a Senior Buyer to join the team. Key responsibilities of this Senior Buyer: Develop the product ranges and presentation according to the agreed product strategy & brand guideline. Use historical data and trends to devise and execute the product strategy for specific areas. Collaborating with external stakeholders to achieve the set sales and margin targets. Collaborate with the sourcing team to formulate and execute a plan for increasing intake margins. Lead the front-end product development strategy. Being involved in sampling, fabric selection, and pricing to meet deadlines for range planning and development. Collaborate with the clients' Design, VM, and Marketing teams to plan and implement effective retail activation. Continuously review product performance and trends to optimise sales and margins Effectively manage, evaluate, and develop the supplier base in areas where necessary. Manage costs in accordance with agreed budgets and established guidelines. Key requirements of this Senior Buyer: Ideally 3 years Buying experience in junior buyer or buyer level from a supplier or retail or fashion background. Ideally have experience in NPD fashion, Accessories or Footwear but other categories will be considered. Has bee involved Far East, Asian and Turkey. Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills are essential. The role is office based, but the organisation offers a four-day working week (Monday to Thursday). It is a full-time role with hours compressed into four days. Your new role The Senior Buyer will be responsible for buying goods and materials at the best cost whilst ensuring quality standards are maintained and reliability of delivery. The Senior Buyer will raise purchase orders via the MRP system, source for new products, support NPI, and resolve supply chain problems. Additionally, the role will work closely with the engineering teams to maximise stock optimisation levels, assist projects and support continuous improvement. What you'll need to succeed You will be a Senior Buyer with a background from a manufacturing, engineering or automotive environment. You will have strong experience of managing MRP systems, managing purchase orders, sourcing, and liaising with suppliers at all stages of the procurement cycle.
