We have an exciting opportunity within a prestigious company as a Senior Buyer, to be based in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire. Key Purpose of The Role: The purpose of this role is to source components at the lowest price, and at the appropriate time, to the correct specifications as needed, for all aspects of watch and accessories production. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts, contractual relationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services. Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans in line with company goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for all direct component related purchasing across the business. Management and development of supplier relationship. Sourcing new supplier Monitoring and analysing current vs historic costs, purchase quantities, FOREX rates. Senior Buyer JD Negotiate on pricing, quantities, and lead times. Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner in relation to new components required for NPI and checking progress to ensure they are delivered to schedule. Ensuring any last-minute design changes are actioned in a timely manner. Maintaining the correct level of stock to fulfil production requirements and maintain an optimal level of stock holding (Expediting / De-expediting as necessary) Work alongside all departments within the business and communicate effectively with them on forecasted arrival dates for stock. Producing reports on purchasing related activities. Working within the ERP system to generate purchase orders that form the basis of regular stock purchasing, in line with forecast agreed from sales. Record and maintain accurate computerised records of all purchasing activities. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, market conditions, and potential risks and opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions. Our client is a friendly SME business who seek to hire an Assistant Accountant. The role will sit between the Finance Manager and an Accounts Assistant taking ownership of the general ledger and financial transactions for accurate and compliant reporting, both internally and externally. The role will also assist in providing information to the Executive team and wider business, both financial and non-financial, that can be used in day-to-day operations and decision-making. Responsibilities: Prepare and process month end journals, adhering to reporting deadlines. General ledger maintenance. Maintain the asset register for depreciation and amortisation. Oversee the ongoing maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers with the Accounts Assistant. Reconcile online sales via third party providers. Assist with cash flow reviews to ensure cash is utilised properly and protect reserves. Bank reconciliations. Collaborate with departments and provide financial information to assist with decision making. Purchase order reviews and maintenance. Support during the budget setting process. Continuous review of processes and identifying areas for improvement. Ensure financial controls are maintained. Be a key point of contact for all departments for finance and accounting matters. Cover for the Accounts Assistant when they are on leave. Ad hoc analytical reports and projects. A salary of £30,000-£35,000 is on offer plus benefits
