As Senior Merchandiser, you will work in collaboration with some of the largest global retailers, ensuring that relationships are strong, forecasts are accurate and stock requirements are met. Working closely with the in-house delivery team, you will ensure that their stock is delivered on time, in full, and in line with the critical path. This is an analytical and commercial role, where you will look at product performance and lessons learned - feeding this insight into the product development and buying team to help make decisions on existing and upcoming ranges. We are looking for someone with excellent merchandising experience, having worked with, or for, major grocery retailers. You must thrive in a fast-paced role, have a commercial mindset and be team and results focused. Duties of this Senior Merchandiser role include: Working closely with the buyers and merchandisers at the key grocery accounts, building strong relationships with mutual respect and trust. Ensuring customer forecasts are firm and accurate before placing orders with the Buying team, to make sure buying decisions are led/influenced by sales analysis. Downloading customer sales figures, analysing these, and reporting to both internal and external teams - taking swift action as needed. Use your analytical ability to direct the team regarding sales trends to help with bidding for new projects, evolving product offers and driving growth for business. Take ownership of the critical path for your customers, ensuring required delivery dates are met Liaising closely with the factories, ensuring all agreed critical path dates are achieved, Liaising with internal departments e.g. delivery team, as required to ensure timely deliveries to key customers are made with agreed packaging, and to agreed deadlines. The successful Senior Merchandiser will have the following skills/qualities: 4 years' experience within a Merchandising role dealing with volume accounts. Highly analytical and numeric, with a detail-orientated nature. Experience of supplying in to, or working for, a major UK grocery account e.g. Tesco. Highly analytical and numeric, with strong excel skills desirable. A detail-orientated nature and who is able to prioritise workloads. A skilled multi-tasker, with excellent organisational skills who thrives in a fast-paced role. Accurate, flexible, driven, and proactive. An excellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbally, internally and externally. A friendly team player with a positive outlook.
