Senior Management Accountant Location: Central London Job Type: Full-time Salary: £65,000 We are seeking a Management Accountant to take on a pivotal role within our finance department. Reporting to the Finance Director, this permanent position will oversee the Management Accounting function for the Group, which comprises thirty companies and around five hundred cost centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and meaningful monthly Management Accounts and reports for the Board and Shareholders. Day to day of the role: Produce accurate and meaningful monthly Management Accounts within agreed timescales. Provide analysis and commentary on monthly results, including significant variances, and consult with operations and the Finance Director to understand and address their future impact. Prepare the Monthly Finance Report for the Board and the Quarterly Shareholder reporting pack. Oversee and review the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations process. Manage and support the junior members of the Management Accounts team. Assist the Statutory Team with the annual audit process and reconcile results between the management accounts and the statutory accounts. Promote financial literacy throughout the Group. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Accountant. Extensive experience with Finance software and Budgeting systems, including interaction with and use of Power BI. Excellent IT skills, particularly advanced proficiency in Excel. Experience in staff management and development. Hardworking, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure. Accustomed to working to and meeting tight deadlines. Ability to handle high volumes and granular levels of detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
