As a Senior Housing and Litigation Lawyer, you will conduct all aspects of legal work relevant to housing and litigation matters, including rent arrears, ASB, disrepair, homelessness, injunctions, leasehold service charges, leasehold covenants, debt recovery, and insolvency.
The initial duration of the assignment is 6 months, with a very high likelihood of the contract being extended and renewed on a rolling basis.

The role of a Senior Housing Benefits Officer has a competitive pay rate of £ 18.21 - £20.74 per hour, increasing in line with Harrow Council Pay Scale increments.
Other benefits include, accruing up to 28 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to apply for any internal permanent roles within Harrow Council.The Main Purpose of a Senior Housing Benefits Officer:
Work with HITS, CAFT, Access Harrow, Revenues, Finance, Adults and Housing and External Partners including the Department of Work and Pensions and where appropriate the Business Transformation Partner to ensure delivery and performance targets are met.
The primary goal is to ensure excellent customer service by providing guidance and assistance in accordance with legal obligations outlined in the Housing Act 1996 and other relevant regulations.
The job entails overseeing a team that serves as the initial point of contact for individuals facing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
This involves managing and supporting staff, conducting regular performance evaluations, and facilitating their training and development.
