This newly re-developed role will be the financial lead for all things capital across the organisation, including the management of their 10-year long capital programme. You will manage a team a six professional, driving performance and data accuracy, in addition to being the key financial advisor to stakeholders across the organisation for all things capital. The key duties of this Finance Manager (Capital) role are as follows: Overseeing the preparation of capital budgets, forecasts, and financial models to optimise resource allocation and maximize returns on investment. Collaborating with project managers and department heads to assess funding needs, monitor expenditure, and provide financial guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Conducting financial analysis and risk assessments to inform decision-making and mitigate financial risks associated with capital projects. Providing regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders on the financial performance and progress of capital projects. Leading the year-end financial close process for capital projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Managing the capital budgeting process, including the development of annual budgets, variance analysis, and recommendations for budget adjustments as needed. Monitoring cash flow related to capital projects, ensuring liquidity for ongoing operations and identifying potential funding gaps or surpluses.
