We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our client's dynamic team based in Northampton. This role offers hybrid working and remote working. The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring the company's financial health, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead and mentor a team. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficient financial management. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business growth and profitability. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial legal requirements. Manage and develop a team of 3, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and initiatives. Experience: Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Interim Financial Controller - c. 6 months (longer term potential) Location: Daventry Site, UK Macildowie are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to join an established manufacturing company, based in Daventry. This role work in collaboration with the Global Executive team and will be integral in the achievement of financial and corporate objectives. As the Interim Financial Controller you will be involved in managing financial operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll do: Financial Operations: Oversee financial operations for the Daventry site. Manage interactions with the Shared Service Centre (SSC), ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and service levels. Approve month-end close submissions to Corporate Finance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting timetables. Prepare monthly reports, monitoring variances to budget, prior year, and forecast. Statutory Compliance and Audit: Ensure timely and accurate statutory submissions (VAT returns, payments, etc.). Handle day-to-day authorisations, payments, and credit notes. Ensure timely statutory reporting and successful completion of year-end audits. Business Partnering: Provide financial analysis and Business Partnering services to the stakeholders, including the Executive team. Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure accurate job costs, overheads, inventory controls, and policies. Drive working capital reduction and improve collections and inventory management. Conduct financial analysis of capital projects and validate savings. Manage site budgeting and forecasting processes. Leadership and Culture: Lead and develop the Management Accountant, and wider finance team. Model Corporate Values and Principles, fostering a high-performance, people-powered culture. What you need: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or demonstrably QBE in similar roles. Sound experience of systems, including Microsoft package; SAP proficiency highly advantageous. Leadership, management and development of team members. Analytical, reasoning mindset to drive decision-making. Adaptable any dynamic, embracing new challenge with a positive attitude to develop solutions. Dependable to complete required work diligently and according to deadlines and organisational expectations. Experienced with stakeholder management, both internally and externally. Ability and willingness to travel between sites as required by the role; demonstrating a professional image.
