Pure are delighted to be working with a leading Global manufacturer based in Chelmsford. It supplies a wide range of industries across the world, and due to continued expansion they are now seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent basis. Position Summary & Responsibilities You will be part of a team who engage in producing, modifying and upgrading new and legacy production equipment, used for the manufacture of RF products. You will already have sound electrical/electronic design experience, and be willing to share with and learn from the existing team and adopting their methodologies. Due to the nature of security requirements, some of these posts will be reserved for sole UK nationals only. Your roles and responsibilities would include: Producing designs for electrical & electronic equipment circuitry Creating detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD Interpreting technical manuals and documentation for systems and components Working with a high attention to detail and accuracy Organisation and prioritisation of your own workload Provide progress updates to the Team Leader Working methodically and producing work of a high quality Provide technical expertise to other team members The ideal applicant will possess the following skills, experience or qualifications; Essential Engineering qualifications such as HNC, Degree or equivalent Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role Ability to work to deadlines and budgets Quality checking of own work and others Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills Good health, safety and housekeeping practices Sound knowledge of general engineering best practices Experience of providing technical advice and decision making Desirable Previous experience of working in a design & manufacturing environment Experience with designing bespoke machinery and one-off concept work. Ability to work using own initiative with minimal supervision on technical aspects. Knowledge of other engineering areas; mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics etc. Use of Autodesk PDMC; AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor 3D and others Experience of Mitsubishi PLCs and software GX Works, GX Developer Personal attributes: Collaborative, constructive and team goal focused contributor Competent I.T. skills Self-motivated and able to use own initiative Takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities Keen to share skills and experience with fellow team members Takes a proactive approach to new working practices and techniques This is a full time, permanent position paying a competitive salary, and comes with a range of attractive benefits.
