JOB TITLE: Training and Service Technician LOCATION: Melksham SALARY: £35,000 - £39,000 WAY OF WORKING: Monday - Friday THE BUSINESS: C4S Search are pleased to be partnering with a specialist in the engineering and manufacturing of respiratory protection equipment for military, law enforcement and fire personnel. THE TRAINING ANG SERVICE TECHNICIAN OPPORTUNITY: Deliver, assist in content development, and certify participants in 'Train the Trainer' sessions tailored for customer-facing personnel. Conduct delivery, content development, and certification for external courses. Provide technical assistance and support onsite for customers encountering warranty or maintenance issues with products. Perform cleaning, upkeep, and testing of Trial and Evaluation (T&E) and training equipment. Gather customer feedback and communicate it to relevant internal stakeholders. Collaborate with the Customer Service Commercial Specialist to ensure adherence to export regulations for goods and technical data. Operate within the Service Center, establishing operational and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols, conducting routine, annual, and scheduled services, and executing repairs on equipment. Generate service work reports and update service records in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct audits of partner service centers, compile reports, and communicate findings to the Training & Technical Service Manager. Work closely with the Training & Technical Service Manager and be willing to assume additional responsibilities as required. Travel Requirement: Moderate to High, 50-60%; Both Domestic and International. YOUR KEY SKILLS: Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering, or possess equivalent relevant experience. Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience with safety/health, first responder, industrial, or military products; experience with RPE is preferred, with consideration for Thermal Imaging, SCUBA/Rebreather backgrounds. Proficient in communication, teamwork, and time management skills. Demonstrated proficiency in creating presentations. Proven ability to conduct technical training and train others effectively. Ability to directly engage with customers to promptly address and resolve concerns; proficiency in technical discussions regarding RPE is preferred. Experienced in working within technical environments, adept at overcoming language barriers and collaborating with translators as needed. Demonstrated track record in servicing and maintaining equipment. Capable of collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams, including technical service, training, engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, product management, sales, and marketing. Proficient user of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint, with confidence in utilizing these tools.
