Of-course - no day is the same here at the Cambian Group, however here is what a day in the life of one of our Senior Support Workers could look like: Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager where required Ensuring that our incredible team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assisting with their individual development Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness with regards to individual care plans and their implementation Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development Providing support and care to the young people within our services Encouraging our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or to engage in their current schooling Traveling with our young people to and from School or College Preparing food at meal times and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry etc.) throughout the day to ensure a wonderful environment for the young people in our care Organising and facilitating social activities This is not an exhaustive list and of course a full job specification is available. Requirements: Must hold a full UK driving licence Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce 12 months senior experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable but we do also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
