We are partnered with an SME in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester, supporting them in their search for a Bookkeeper. As a Bookkeeper, you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring accurate and timely financial records. Your primary responsibilities will include: Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing accounts. Managing bank reconciliations, payroll, and VAT returns. Preparing financial statements and reports for management. Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. Liaising with auditors and preparing audit files. Handling accounts payable and receivable. Utilizing accounting software to streamline processes. Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage). Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
