Our client is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the team at its Newbury office. This well-established accountancy practice is part of a Top 20 practice that is continuing to grow, hence the need to recruit. The role will be reporting to the Director, carrying out audit and accounts work with responsibility for the file prior to Director review. The split will be roughly 70% audit to 30% accounts and tax work. As Audit & Accounts Senior your responsibilities will include: Audit of accounts in accordance with ISAs, including attendance at client premises Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders Liaise with clients to ensure accounts comply with accounting standards Draft corporation tax computations, including analysis of items for tax Support trainees - deliver training in clear and concise manner, identify and solve knowledge gaps Working directly for client managers and directors, supporting with the delivery of technical knowledge Keep up to date with legislative changes We welcome applications from candidates with the following experience and attributes: Qualified ACCA/ACA with significant audit and accounts experience gained within practice Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Team player, who will engage and build rapport with the team Organised, proven ability to meet deadlines Enjoys working under pressure Strong IT skills ideally with good knowledge of Excel SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, Kashflow, CCH The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, depending upon experience, hybrid working and benefit from working for a well-established firm, in an environment where you can develop your career further. Key Responsibilities: With the full backing of the business, you will take responsibility for driving and delivering lead generation and other marketing exercises for your market territory. This will be through your own effort as well as collaborating and utilising the capabilities of the sales focused Marketing Department. Consultative sales is the approach for success. You will be required to take a hands on approach with the product, such as initial demonstration capability Qualification of opportunities will be essential In time, accurate sales forecasting will be required Managing and maintaining the CRM system will be essential Attending and presenting when required at monthly sales meetings is required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Essential Demonstrable record of achieving new business targets The highest capability of qualification / assessment of opportunities throughout the sales process will be essential and will be supported by methodology and management You must be a self-starter in order to be successful in this role The ability to deliver presentations in a professional and structured manner up to board level Comfortable with working in a team environment Commercially aware Excellent communication skills Desirable Strong B2B New Business sales experience of ERP software Above experience gained within the distribution market place is desirable.
