This day shift role (with call out) requires the successful candidate to work in an industrial food manufacturing environment as part of a small team of highly skilled engineers, providing the routine maintenance and breakdown cover required to deliver production availability 24/7.
An opportunity exists for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client, based predominantly near Stonehouse with occasional travel to site in Wiltshire site.
Responsibilities
To work in co-operation with the production and engineering teams/ contractors in ensuring that all packing machines are operating efficiently and providing optimum performance.
Experience of working in a fabrication environment (engineering or metal work) is essential.
Our ideal candidate will have a Fabrication and/or Welding qualification or time served apprenticeship.
The Fabricator/Mig-Tig Welder is responsible for the fabrication and welding of light to medium gauge steel in line with the detailed engineering drawing provided, occasionally liaising with other departments of the fabrication shop to ensure the fabrication is to the standard required.
Read, interpret, and follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions meticulously.
