Security Engineer required for our client, a Hertfordshire-based independent business with over 20 years' experience within the Security industry. Security Engineer Position Remuneration Salary £30,000 - £42,000, depending on experience 40 hour working week Flexible working schedule - early starts/finishes available 32 days holiday, including bank holidays Private welfare scheme available, including discounted health care for dependents Company van 1 in 8 on call rota, with £400 retainer and £100 for each call out 2x pay for any night/weekend work undertaken Due to securing a number of new contracts across the south, our client is looking to find an experienced Security Engineer to join their successful service and maintenance department. The successful Security Engineer will be tasked with completing regular servicing and planned/reactive maintenance on a range of Security systems including CCTV systems, intruder alarms, and access control systems. The ideal Security Engineer will be based within London or the home counties (Essex, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Herts, Beds, Bucks), and will be happy to travel in and around London completing multiple jobs a day. Your new company A leading Financial Services organisation in Brighton is currently looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to come in and support the existing Cyber team with the day to day running of the Cyber Security infrastructure for the organisation. Your new role You will be supporting the Head of IT and Cyber Security with the day-to-day operational management of the cyber security function. You will work with the Senior Cyber Security Manager to define and evolve the cyber strategy across the organisation. Lead and/or mentor a team of cyber security professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Develop, Implement, and maintain information security strategies and objectives to enhance the overall security posture of the business. Monitor and analyse security incidents and breaches, and lead incident response efforts to contain and mitigate the impact in a timely manner. Reporting to senior management on Cyber related metrics and improvement needs. Foster a culture of security awareness and compliance amongst team members and stakeholders through training, education, and communication initiatives. Leading any major cyber incidents should they arise. Escalating security concerns that are not being adequately addressed through the established risk/issue management framework. What you'll need to succeed You will need to be able to influence and collaborate with other teams in the organisation, and have the ability to build strong internal relationships with other members in the business. You will be experienced with vulnerability assessments and Cyber Assurance. 4 years of experience in cyber security, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities. Strong technical expertise in areas such as network security, intrusion detection/prevention, endpoint security, encryption, and vulnerability management. Experience with leading or mentoring cyber security professionals. Strong knowledge and experience with recognised Cyber Security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant certifications such as Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable, but not essential if the right experience is there. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. What you'll get in return This role is available for hybrid working with a typical requirement to work 2 days per week in the Brighton offices, and 3 days from home. Your salary will be between £50K and £70K DoE. You will also start on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and qualify for a generous bonus scheme.
