Premises Officer £15.65 - £17.65 per hour Lewisham, London Contract We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Premises Officer to join our site based in Lewisham. The Role: To be responsible for portering duties, general maintenance and minor repairs at all locations. Monitoring, identifying and reporting premises related jobs, equipment faults through the FM helpdesk where required. To action daily centre related tasks and those set out on the premises team task system, this includes responding to room setups, room resource requests, water flushing, alarm testing etc. Take responsibility for the collection and distribution of incoming mail, parcels and other deliveries. Ensure that all mail (some of which will be confidential) and deliveries are held securely; with due regard for data protection regulations (GDPR). To deliver the best possible customer service in line with the Premises and Facilities service offer to visitors, centre users, as well to with colleagues and other staff. To carry out regular maintenance checks throughout the Centres, completing any minor repairs to ALL's buildings, fixtures, fittings and furniture and ensuring records are updated accordingly. To liaise with the premises team leader and/or premises and facilities manager in respect of repairs, order agreed equipment; supervise contractors and ensure all repairs are completed to a satisfactory standard. To liaise with the corporate FM regulatory team via the FM Helpdesk in respect of repairs which are their responsibility. To ensure that the heating and ventilation within Centres is working to a satisfactory standard and maximizes fuel efficiency. To regularly inspect equipment and undertake daily inspections of boiler equipment as required by the Site Manager. To take delivery of stores, materials, etc and transport them to all Centres, as required. To carry out general duties as required for the caf areas. To ensure internal/external grounds are maintained in a clean and tidy manner at all times. To effectively control parking in Centre car parks. General trouble shooting customer issues with telephones, hunt groups, voicemail etc. Administer the tiger billing system Support the University Reception function including administering ID cards, key issue, car parking permits, provide authorised access to buildings and car parks and respond efficiently to the Reception and IPT-Support email groups Manning the reception desks ensuring the areas are presentable at all times and that all displayed materials are tidy and up to date. Provide support to the Building Custodian with general housekeeping matters within the Eastern Gateway Reception Building Escalate general housekeeping matters within the WBB to relevant services Assisting with general administration tasks, monitoring of stock levels, ordering stationery, meeting room bookings and providing reports etc. Assistance with event co-ordination and facilitation within the Eastern Gateway Building Create and work to Standard operating procedures for all new telephone functionalities and services. Work with systems within the campus service helpdesk environment. Providing a support service for special events held on campus including UCAS/Applicant and Open days Attend all compliance and other relevant training courses provided by the University Training and developing new staff/students Adhere to policy and procedures at all times.Undertake all duties pertaining to the role.
