Quality Inspector Position Available Are you experienced in the realm of engineering? We're seeking individuals with a background in engineering to join our client's team as a Quality Inspector. Role Overview: As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for conducting thorough quality inspections across various aspects of our vendor and manufacturing shop floor operations. This includes inspecting incoming goods, assessing fabrication/weldments in materials such as mild steel and stainless steel, scrutinising machined components with tight engineering tolerances, evaluating industrial plastics machined to precise specifications, and examining other engineered items with quality considerations. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct inspections using micrometers, calipers, verniers, and other engineering measuring equipment. - Perform in-process inspections, ensuring assemblies adhere to provided drawings, checking dimensions, finish, and verifying the presence of all necessary parts. Fabricator/Welder Requirements: Are you an experienced Fabricator with MIG and TIG welding experience? We're seeking a skilled, time-served engineer, adept at handling materials such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and dissimilar material joining (mild steel/stainless steel together). Experience Needed: Your expertise should span across a diverse range of projects, including fabrications involving port positioning and cutting into circular/rectangular bodies. You should be comfortable working with material thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 150mm and weights from 0.5kg to 2500kg. Pipe Fabrication/Fitting Expertise: Proficiency in pipe fabrication/fitting is essential, covering both mild steel and stainless steel materials. Technical Skills: You must be capable of deciphering engineering drawings and applying their details to your work. Inspecting your own work against these drawings is a key aspect of this role. Preferred Qualifications: Having a forklift license, familiarity with overhead crane operations, and possessing your own transport are preferred. Additionally, holding MEWPS 3a and 3b certifications would be advantageous. Educational Background: A solid educational foundation, including completion of a fabricating and welding apprenticeship, is required.
