Your new company Hays Education are currently recruiting, on a permanent basis, for a Year 3 Teacher to work at a popular Primary School in Preston. Your new role This role will be on a full-time, permanent basis starting in September 2024, with the potential to start in July to spend time with the class teacher before the end of the year. You will be taking on full responsibilities as the class teacher, so this will include planning and delivering fun and engaging lessons as well as marking pupil work. You will be expected to build strong relationships with your students, ensuring they are working to their potential. This is a class of 35 children with outstanding behaviour, there is a full-time teaching assistant to assist as well as extra support in the afternoons for a couple of the pupils in the class. You will want to strive for academic growth for the children in your class and feel confident in tailoring materials to suit the ability and learning style of individual pupils. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills. Experience in KS2 would be desirable but not essential and NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply for the role.If you are not a qualified teacher, but have recent experience working with children, we may have other roles available for you. Your new role Joining the DT department following the Summer Break, you will be responsible for teaching DT across KS3 and KS4. You will work closely with other department colleagues developing resources and lesson planning as a team. You will plan and prepare lessons, deliver these creating a positive learning environment and you will also mark and assess pupils work. Due to this being a long term assignment, you will be required to attend parents evenings and additional school functions.
