This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced science teacher who is ready to take on the challenge of managing and leading a team of passionate educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in teaching science and the ability to develop innovative curriculums. Day-to-day of the role: Lead the Science Department, setting high standards and clear expectations for staff and students. Develop and implement a robust science curriculum that meets the needs of all students. Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department. Provide professional development opportunities for the science teaching team. Manage departmental resources effectively to enhance student learning. Collaborate with other department heads and the senior leadership team to achieve school-wide objectives. Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote the subject and the school. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A minimum of 5 years of experience teaching Science. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
