Now, we are seeking a dynamic Sales Director -Europe to spearhead our expansion efforts in the UK & Europe. Role Overview As Sales Director, you will report directly to the Managing Director-Europe and play a pivotal role in optimising revenue generation. Your primary focus will be on leading strategic initiatives to enhance sales performance and margins. This includes fostering robust relationships with senior stakeholders across retailers, distribution partners and brand owners, along with expanding our sales portfolio across the European landscape. Based in London, you will lead, inspire, and motivate a commercial team of Senior Account Managers to achieve ambitious growth targets with their retailers. Key Responsibilities: Further develop relationships with retailers and distribution partners in the UK & Europe, and explore opportunities to expand the business. Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and oversee the development of business relationships. Guide research, competitive analysis, and interpret relevant trends to drive strategic decision-making. Collaboratively devise brand positioning and strategic initiatives for optimal placement in retailer partnerships Manage the multi-brands portfolio, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Plan and implement distribution and business development strategies for the UK & European market. Set budgets and negotiate at the top to top level with senior buying contacts / execs. Pilot sales budgets on a monthly and weekly basis, and control product assortment proposals/replenishments. Maintain optimal core range stock levels in POS and drive sell-out in stores Set monthly targets Ensure proper sell-out programs and training in regional accounts and propose/implement animations in POS. Monitor retail sales weekly and take corrective actions to achieve targets. Organise, prepare, and animate sales meetings with internal teams and key clients. Assure brand image control and visibility within licensing brand guidelines, both internally and externally Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team, setting targets and monitoring performance. Skills & Qualifications A background as Sales Manager-Europe, Sales Director - Europe, Country Director - Europe, or similar level. Must have experience winning, growing and expanding European retailers / distribution partners Experience in sales leadership roles. Background and experience fashion/multi-brand fashion products or similar. Leadership experience / team management Exceptional organisational and communication skills. Strong team-oriented and outgoing approach. Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. Proficiency in analytical tasks. You will make a tangible, attributable and rewarding difference to a successful British exporter which is creating this role to meet the demand, and harness the potential, for their products in Sweden, Norway and the Baltic countries. This is a newly created position for an internationally focused, British manufacturer of high-quality automotive products. Our client is proud of the fact that their products are made in the UK and sold to the world. More than 60% of the company turnover comes from outside the UK and the Nordic region is a priority for the business. The International Sales Manager for Scandinavia and Baltic countries will be responsible for manging sales in the region, working from home in the UK and travelling regularly within the region. The position will suit someone located in England for whom regular travel into Scandinavia is agreeable. The International Sales Manager for Scandinavia will be based remotely, anywhere in England, and will spend occasional days working from the office in the midlands and travelling to visit customers. About the Company: A successful, profitable and internationally focused manufacturing business that has been operating for 40 years. A business which relies on international sales for 60% of turnover. The business produces products that are sold on reputation, quality, reliability and brand as opposed to price. The directors have created this position covering Scandinavia to meet the rising demand and significant potential for their products in Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Key Skills/Experience Required: Our client is a firm believer in the transferable skill set possessed by international sales professionals so specific industry experience is not required. That said, interest in international business is a prerequisite. The role will require regular international travel of course along with a culturally sensitive persona and a passion for business development. Candidates who have experience of managing sales into Scandinavia, especially Sweden, will be of particular interest as will candidates who have an in-depth understanding of the region. Salary/Benefits Information: A package will be created to attract the preferred candidate. It is expected that a basic salary of £40,000 - £50,000 will be offered plus bonus and company car allowance.
