Health & Safety Advisor - Covering Leeds and surrounding Area Location: Home Working with regional travel within the above areas Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus £5,400 Car Allowance. Health and Safety Advisor required to join a leading health and safety service provider, offering Health and Safety advice and guidance to a diverse portfolio of clients in the Leeds area, home working and travelling between Client sites. Reporting into the Senior Health and Safety Consultant, this role will be home based, spending approximately 3/4 days of the week travelling between client sites and 1.5 day report writing from home. You will be part of a cohesive and collaborative team that bring the best out in each other through their professionalism. Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Advisor will include: Working with a range of clients, understanding customers' needs and providing, consultancy services, training services and written documents in support of their business plans and in mitigation of risk. Advising clients on generalist health and safety matters from a range of different industry sectors; Leisure, Care, Hospitality, Construction, Manufacturing, Retail, Engineering, Education plus more! Maintaining and continually developing strong relationships with clients to truly understand their requirements and be in a position to create innovative solutions. Creating a collaborative culture internally, sharing best practice and ideas, seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation. You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, in your region! We are a co-ordinated company to ensure that the role is as practical and balanced as possible for you. The ideal Health and Safety Advisor will possess: NEBOSH General Certificate / Diploma or equivalent (or actively studying currently with a course completion date) Member of IOSH or IIRSM Preferably CertIosh/Gradiosh/CMIOSH Full UK Driving License
The hourly rate for this role is £11.44 and up to £12.02 across selected location. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role. Our airport stores typically have an earliest shift start time of 9:00pm and the latest shift end time of 5:00am. To obtain an airside pass you will need to provide 5 years of references with any gaps in employment covered by character references. About the role You will work onsite and report into the Assistant or Store Manager and in the bustle of the airport where customers are rushing through to catch that flight it's important that we create a great shopping environment. There are so many different customers from those travelling on business, to those travelling long distance and you'll be there to help provide a great shopping experience. Working as a team. From helping with the delivery and putting products on to shelves, to being on the tills, no two days are the same. Working as a team, you will help to make sure that our stores are clean, tidy, and presentable and provide a store that we can be really proud of. Be an expert. You will know the products across your store meaning you can give great advice, showing your customers options they might not have considered before.
