Meraki Accountancy & Finance's market leading client are keen to add a Systems Accountant to the current team on an initial contract. The successful candidate will manage the implementation of changes to existing finance system. This is an excellent opportunity to be responsible for the finance design of processes and agreeing with the finance team and vendor for implementation. Key duties of the role include: Manage and oversee all finance system changes, implementation, and testing. Delivering the testing plans to ensure sufficient testing is performed and evidenced. Work closely with internal teams to develop and oversee project plans, deliverables, and milestones. Develop project plans and changes to be implemented on the finance systems. Responsible for all testing plans and ensure testing is performed before systems go live with all changes actioned. Manage the costs for the system upgrade. Experience required: ICAS / ACCA /CIMA Qualified Accountant with relevant PQE Strong analytical skills and able to deal with a variety of financial reporting and finance system related queries. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working to challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment. On offer: Salary £90,000 - £100k depending on experience. Mitchell Adam are working alongside an established local council to source Systems Accountant To support the Finance Business Partner and the assistant Finance Business Partner in delivering an effective and efficient Corporate Accountancy function. You will be a qualified or currently studying accountant ideally with a good knowledge of IFRS or the regulatory reporting environment within which SMBC operates. A successful candidate will have excellent Excel skills and experience of working with at least one other local authority in the implementation of the oracle cloud financials, preferably as a systems accountant/systems administrator background. Ideally You will; Be a qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with experience working within the public sector. Have an excellent technical accounting background with the technical ability to pull together a set of accounts. Demonstrate the ability to implement new finance systems and take ownership of ongoing process improvements to support the ever changing environment. Demonstrate great presentation skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholder both in and outside of the business.
