Day to Day of the Role: Key holding and managing the opening or closing of the school building. Performing cleaning, repairs, and maintenance to improve the school facilities and grounds. Working under the guidance of our Site Maintenance Manager to ensure operational excellence. Engaging in a variety of hands-on tasks that require practical skills and a proactive approach. Operating both independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team. Required Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge and previous experience in a trade or excellent DIY skills. Energetic, motivated, and hardworking with a hands-on approach to tasks. Good sense of humour, enthusiasm, and a positive approach to work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. We are working closely with a large organisation that offers education support to those with moderate and complex learning difficulties, autism, speech & language difficulties and Social, emotional & mental health difficulties. Teaching assistants are required to join the team, supporting students aged 5-16 years old throughout their academic day on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. The role is working in SEN Support and will consist of: Providing tailored support and working with children with SEMH and SEN (special education needs) Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed Academic support of a 1:1 basis or in small groups Assisting the teacher The Ideal Candidate: Teaching assistant qualification would be desired but not essential Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR Experience of working with children in a youth setting Position Details: Location - Cheshire East.
