Domestic Abuse Coordinator Salary: £12.70 p/h Hours: Full-time Special Terms: Temp on-going Location: Greater Manchester We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Abuse Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of our Domestic and Sexual Abuse Programme (DASA). This role is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting LGBT communities and a strong background in domestic abuse services. Day to Day of the role: Manage a caseload of service users with standard or medium risk of domestic abuse, providing holistic assessments, safety and support planning. Oversee referrals, assessments, and waiting lists, ensuring efficient service delivery. Coordinate and expand the safe accommodation offered for survivors fleeing abuse. Utilise internal monitoring systems for contract monitoring and reporting. Develop and deliver specialist LGBT domestic abuse training and awareness campaigns. Offer consultation to other domestic abuse services to promote inclusivity for the LGBT community. Line manages outreach and resettlement officers, sessional workers, and volunteers. Provide safeguarding support and ensure adherence to organisational policies and procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in a domestic abuse service or similar role. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent prioritisation and initiative. Strong partnership working skills with a range of service providers. Experience in delivering training and group work. Knowledge of housing options for victims/survivors of domestic abuse. Understanding of key legislation and safeguarding procedures related to domestic abuse. Insight into the needs of LGBT communities.
